VASTEC GROUP, Inc. is a privately held, full service, minority owned corporation. VASTEC is a participant of the Small Business Administration's 8(a) program, a certified HUB Zone firm and a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise.
VASTEC GROUP, Inc. was incorporated in July of 2003. In March of 2005, VASTEC was accepted into the SBA 8(a) program. Throughout this period, I have received valuable advice and assistance from Protech Contractors, Inc., a recent graduate of the 8(a) program.
It has been my strategy from the beginning to take advantage of the lessons learned and the practical experience gained from graduates of the program . In that regard, I concluded that the most viable course of action for VASTEC to achieve success as an 8(a) general contractor was to purchase certain key assets of our mentor firm . This purchase included field equipment and tools, computers, the Atlanta office lease, and a transfer of certain key operational employees to VASTEC's payroll. This action affords VASTEC immediate access to a fully operational internal management system as well as the immediate ability to undertake complex construction projects with an experienced staff of tested professionals. The Experience Section of this Statement of Capabilities contains the resumes of key staff members and a sampling of their project experience.
I am confident that this Qualification Package represents the best value to our prospective clients and customers, and I invite your review and comments in that regard.
